RATEMETER

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 31, 2026

1. Introduction

Ratemeter ("we," "us," "our") provides a review-request and reputation-tracking service for local service businesses. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: name, email address, and authentication data when you sign up (via Google or email/password).

Business information: business name, logo, connected Google Business Profile details, and messaging preferences.

Customer contact information: when a business owner uses Ratemeter to request a review, they provide us with their customer's name and phone number or email address for the sole purpose of sending that request.

Usage data: how review requests are sent, opened, clicked, and responded to, used to power the dashboard and analytics.

Payment information: billing is handled entirely by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on our own servers.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to: operate and improve the service; send review requests on behalf of business owners; process payments; communicate with account holders about their account; and comply with legal obligations.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services to operate Ratemeter, each of which processes a limited scope of data necessary for their function:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
  • Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing
  • Twilio — SMS delivery for review requests
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Google — sign-in (OAuth) and Google Business Profile search/rating data

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We share information with the third-party service providers listed above solely as needed to operate the service, and may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Ratemeter, our users, or others.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and business data for as long as an account remains active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal and accounting obligations. Customer contact information submitted for a review request is retained as part of that request's history unless deletion is requested.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Business owners are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate consent to submit their customers' contact information to Ratemeter for the purpose of sending review requests.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to maintain your session securely. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

Ratemeter is a business tool not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
